It seems that everywhere I go I can't seem to escape this fascination people have celebrities! I hear at home, at work, at school! n its driving me nuttttttsss
everything from tara reids bad boob job, brangelina, madonna adopting, tyra banks' love life, paris hilton and her STD's, Anna nicole smith and her quest to find her baby's daddy....
it never ends!!

im really curious as to why people idolize these people? is it bc theyre rich??? AND whatever happened to real issues? why arent people more caught up with the AIDS crisis affecting millions rather than what lindsay lohan did at a club.

i just wanted to know if im the only one who feels this way...

It gives the tabloids something to write about. They need to keep writing about these people or else they go out of business. If you look at it, there are famous people that are famous just for being famous. What in the world has Paris or Nichole done to warrent any media coverage?

Its all about money, if they can sell magazines, they get more advertisers. No other reason but people so bored with their own life that they have to look at the botox laden anorexic generation that tries to look cool while lip syncing to an album they spend a total of 1/2 a day working on

I think it's gone beyond a "craze." I know for sure it's been going on since the 50s, and I have no doubt it was going on before that.
