No fruit name starts with x or z just like the letter j isn't in any of the element's names in the period table or that the letter q isn't in any states name. However, in other languages the case might be different but were talking about English here so nope, no fruit starts with the letter x, or z. Yahoo should have "trick question" section.
Zucchini, like the tomato, has the honor of being both vegetable and fruit. What you think about zucchini may be contradicted, therefore zucchini is not a fruit as it can be considered a vegetable.

TO Michael and ShirlD : Xango is not a fruit it is only a brand name. The fruit used in the drinks is called the mangosteen.
TO michimee: Those names that you have are only what is refered as "slang". There are variations in the spelling and names of fruits. For example, white sapote is also known as white zapote.
To the rest of you: Culinarily, zucchini is considered to be a vegetable. However, biologically, the zucchini is a fruit, being the swollen ovary of the zucchini flower.

Both are good for you, each fruit/vegetable has different vitamins. Therefore as more variety, as better. Vegetables have generally less sugar than fruits.
