What sense does it make for people to give your answer a thumbs-down if your answer agreed with what they said?

Don't let it worry you. That's just someone elses way of getting their opinion out there. It doesn't cost any points & sometimes, the thumb's down can get clicked in error. Once that happens, there's no changing it.

Edit: Nod, nod. It isn't always the person you think that did it either. It could be anyone, even someone who doesn't respond in answer, but just passes by and clicks thumb's up, or thumb's down.

It isn't necessarily the person who asked the question that gave you a thumbs down rating.

No more sense than the fact that you are actually pondering that thought. This is the internet. It is a form of entertainment. What sense does it make that we are on here asking questions that make no sense?

How do you know who is giving you a thumbs up or down? It's pretty anonymous.

Maybe you sucked up a little to much.
Example:
Q) (asked by STEVE): "Who's the sexiest person you know?"
A) (by you): "Oh, STEVE, you know it's you, baby."
