Some good ideas are:
-A research project on something that interests you (an animal, space object, scientific law, ect.)
-Look at how a natural disaster occurs and how it works (torrnado, hurricane, flood....)
Another idea is to create an expirment that will answer a question about science some examples are:
What type of metal, steel, copper, or bronze, will rust faster?
How does sound affects plant growth?
Does cold or heat affect how high a ball bounces?
Which kind of bread grows mold the fastest?
What kind of mouthwash kills the most bacteria?
Which material filters water the best?
What material carries the most static electricity?
What type of water do plants grow best in?
What makes yeast react the best?
What are the scientific principals behind musical intruments?
Snow- what happens when it melts; what does it contain; what is the tructure of snow flakes?
What are the effects of sunlight on rubber, ink, and paper?
These ideas could all contain a presentaion and/or display explaining you experiment and results and why you got the answer you did.
