It sounds like Ashland, which is a town name. If I heard someone say Ashlyn, I might get confused and think they were talking about the town.

It reminds me of Azlan from Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe.
It also sounds like a boy or a girls name. But I like it for a girls name better than a boys name.
