I know in the 80's him and Quincy Jones were best friends and very close. Do they still talk these days, and if not, why?

No, they don't anymore, because after Thriller, MJ got cocky and didn't give QUincy his props. Quincy forgave, but after the "we are the world" thing, their relationship soon faded. Because the bad press surrounding MJ later, when he wanted to do the 9/11 tribute, Quincy wanted no parts of the deal. So MJ and him quickly soured then...

i think they r still good.like in 1995 quincy and his daughter were in neverland working with michael to put his image on a famous magazine and his daughter got some pics with mj.they were so happy together but do not forget quincy was not a good friend.he told some lies like he said he wrote songs like billie jean but it was not true and it turned out to be michael himself who wrote and composed it
