Can anyone point me to any scholarly research (NOT PRODUCT PITCHING SALESPEOPLE) that evaluates the effectiveness of trading assests based on minute-by-minute movements in price? Also where can I secure a live market feed (not delayed 20 min)?

Momentum trading works for the guys who run hedge funds and can swing a big enough stick to move the market when they sense the time is right. Small players won't likely succeed. The pros will beat you every time in that game.
