I buy those Thermacare heat wraps.
They stay warm for about 12 hours!

i take the towel and wet it and place it in the micro wave for 3 minutes it seems to stay hotter for a little while longer,, than just wetting it with hot water,,,
or u could make a rice towel,, sew a towel in half fill with rice then finishing sewing it ,,,then heat fro 3 minustes the rice helps ,, alot,,,

wet the towel, put it in a plastic bag, put that in the microwave for two minutes. Be careful, it will be HOT when it comes out. Wrap the whole thing in another towel, it will remain warm for thirty minutes.

Take an old sock (without any holes) and fill it with uncooked rice. Heat it in the microwave for 2 minutes. It will stay hot much longer.

I think the easiest thing to do is get a heating pad. They're not too expensive and you can adjust the heat settings to what you need.
