Yes. For class I saw a video of a baby born at 24 week and another at 28 weeks. Although dangerous, the medical knowledge today can do wonders for babies born early.

YES! Of course survival depends on a case by case scenario. However, babies have survived at as young as 25 weeks gestation! So 31 weeks, though very pre-term is certainly considered viable! In fact, after 31 weeks the baby has almost a 95% chance of survival.

Yes. A baby can survive as early as 24 weeks, although there is a higher chance of severe problems. My son was born at 29 weeks and turned 2 in Aug and has no learning disabilities that have been detected and no delays. He talks more than some other 2 year-olds that were born full-term.

Yes. There is a very good survival rate for babies born at 31 weeks. If there's enough time steroids can be given to help the baby's lungs develop and the baby will have to be in NICU for a while.

Yes, at 31 weeks a baby can survive. Even if you are not a religious person, start praying and have faith. If that baby is meant to be in this world he will stay. If not, the baby will go home with his maker. I am not a religious person, but I do know that God does create life and he decides who comes into our lives and how long they stay in our lives. So pray that this bundle of joy gets to stay with you

Yes, Children can survive as young as 20 weeks but with each week short of 40 the risks of complications and death increase, the medical intervention needed to support life increases, the risks of lifelong complications increase...
While a baby can survive if born as early as 20 weeks they are far better off remaining inside the womb as long as possible...

Yes a baby can. With the updated technology there is today, it is a good chance as well. My sister had her sons early, one at 32 and the other at 29 and they are both doing fine. Depending on the situation, there could be some complications, but the odds are good.

Yes, I have a daughter who will be three next month and she was born at 29 weeks. She has minor developemental issues, but nothing serious and she's just as active as can be. She's extremely smart, just walks on her tip toes which is actually going to be corrected. It's a long hard road, but it's VERY possible to have a happy healthy normal baby at that gestation. Good luck and I sincerely hope you do not have to face that obstacle with your baby.
