it was only until 1924 that we gain citizenship in our own country.

'1924 U.S. Government declares Native Americans to be U.S .citizens" page B-55 of The Wabanakis of Maine and the Maritimes. according to the same source , Maine "Indians "gained the right to vote in state elections in 1967 . .....Of course, Native Americans hane been citizens of America for countless generations. but they were not recognized by the US and many state governments. I could write a lot more, but it would tend to not be very polite.....

They are NATIVE AMERICANS, they don't need citizenship! We (all who came later) should have to get citizenship from them!

Back in the 50's, I think. Look for 'American Indian Law' in the Nutshell series of law books. That should have it.

they were already here, so they shouldnt have to have gotten any kind of citizenship, in the first place....
