I'm not sure about the force exerted on it, but I can tell you that's one slow race car!

Use the equation:
s = ut + 1/2at^2
40m = 0 + 1/2a*9
40*2/9 = a
a = 8.9m/s^2
F = ma
F = 710kg*8.9m/s^2
F = 6319N

d=.5at^2
40=.5(a)(9)
a=80/9 m/s/s

f=ma=(710)(80/9)=6311.11N
