Baby pigeons are called squabs, they are hidden from predators until they can fend for themselves.
They can give you a nasty crack with their wings.

The pigeons you see everyday are baby pigeons, the adult pigeons are about 6 feet tall and live in the mountains, they sometimes fly down to the villages and carry off young children or animals which have been left outside. Once a year they fly out to the big cities, get drunk, pick up another adult pigeon for some meaningless sex and before heading back to the mountains the female lays loads of eggs and the chicks wander about the city centres eating the vomit of late night revellers early on a Sunday morning and this is what you see and think to be the adult, but next time you see one of these flying rats you'll be able to smuggly tell whoever is within hearing distance that these are infact the baby pigeons.

What an excellent question. I never thought about it before but I never have seen a baby pigeon. They all look the same size.

I had heard that although we think pigeons to be relatively stupid, they are in fact a very clever master race. having lost their ability to reproduce they developed a cloning programme. They have enough numbers to have a successful programme at the moment although the cloning is on a voluntary basis and the number of pigeons declining to be cloned is increasing at an alarming rate according to one of the top pigeon scientists.
Have you noticed that although all pigeons appear to be different if you get a large enough group you can spot identical pigeons - you are not imagining it they are the same, clones!

Good question. I don't know. I'd guess that pigeons have hidden nests, and the babies stay in the nests 'til they're nearly full sized.

Here in Los Angeles, we have flocks of parrots -- all adults, no babies. I'd venture to guess that the parrots are the same way.

You never see the other baby vermin. Pigeons, rats or Luton fans. Yet they are there none the less!

They stay in their nests until they are as big as their parents. You can tell a fully grown immature pigeon because it follows its parents around and gets fed.

You do see baby pigeons, you just don't recognise them as such because they look like their parents.
