My parents are going crazy over this and they called animal control and my parents are complaining about not wanting to pay money. I keep telling them to pay the stupid money for my brother, my dog, and I's safety. They aren't really listening. What should I, the 13 year old girl, do in this situation?

What should I, the 13 year old girl, do in this situation?

Call animal control yourself and tell them of your fear and ask them to come and get rid of it. If they won't do it for free call the police and tell them that you are in danger and afraid to go out side because of the snake. They should be able to get it removed.

well i get this problem all the time,,so i had to learn how to catch em, release them.. dont kill it or more will turn up,snakes leave a spray, to tell other snakes it is there territory,so if you kill it more snakes will come..
best way to catch is nice long stick put it at the base of the head then pick it up around the back of neck put it in a bag?
so if your dad wont pay give him a stick an tell him to do it?

If you see the snake, take a shovel and whack it's head off. Is your dad afraid of snakes? He may be honey..so don't judge. but that's what he COULD do. But then, DO NOT touch the head, or teeth, as it still has poison that can really make you sick. Call 911, and they will come take care of it. Cry hard, and tell them how scared you are. They'll be there in a flash. When kids are involved, they want to help in a hurry. Don't feel silly calling them. Just DO IT!!

Call Animal Control or if that fails (i.e., they don't collect snakes) call a pest control company. If you live in an area that is inhabited by snakes there should be a company that will take care of it for you. Don't try and do it yourself!

where do you live? if its someplace that is going to get cold, he definitely is not going to stick around.
just keep a close watch on your dog and leave the snake alone. It doesnt want to hurt you, the only reason it would stick around is if you have a lot of disease carrying mice or rats around. They are more dangerous then the snake. It will go away if it gets cold or it doesnt have anything to eat.

I have never heard of animal control charging people to remove wild animals from their homes.
Either leave it alone and let it go away on its own, or CALL ANIMAL CONTROL.
But don't kill it. It has a right to live too.

I haven't ever heard of animal control charging the homeowners for a wild animal that was at their home . . .
Try calling the police instead.

Do what my grandma did well into her sixties- get a gardening hoe and whack its head off.
