Benjamin Franklin was known for many things. He was at the assemblies that adopted the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. He was the US Ambassador to France. He established the very first public library and the first women's college in the country, both in Philadelphia. He established the first fire fighter's station in Philadelphia. He experimented with electricity and invented bifocals for eyeglasses. He founded Old Richards Almanac. At 80 years of age he wrote his Autobiography.

The man was a genius and wasted little time in his life.
