The current "winner" of the July 2 Elections in Mexico is Felipe Calderon, the conservative National Alliance Party (PAN) leader. This is contested by many people (myself included) who believe the results were rigged, and that the small 0.6% margin of victory over leftist Andres Manuel Lopez-Obrador was not enough to be decisive. Current President Vincente Fox of Calderon's PAN party will leave office on December 1 if Lopez-Obrador's protests are not successful, which they are not expected to be. Lopez-Obrador launched a beautiful protest, shutting down mexico city's town square for 47 days!
