My guy friend from 4 years told me just yesterday that he loves me. He didn't give me any hints or anything. He just said it out of nowhere. i didn't know how to react. I just consider him as a best friend. He got mad at me for not sharing the same feelings like does.

first of all ; if he was your " best friend " he wouldnt get mad over that . you cant force someone to feel the way you feel towards them . i mean like come on ; how low can they go ? tell him stop thinking about his feelings and think about yuh`res . the grass isnt greener on the other side , so he should be mad at you . come on . you can feel what you want to . and he cant stop you .

Did he say he loves you or did he say he was in love with you?
If he was sharing his love for you and you're best friends I expect he thought his feelings would be shared by you.
