Freedom from desire.

Beware the one who would sell you a lesser version of freedom. It is a prison.

Freedom means being able to make choices for yourself. But it also means that you take the consequences that come with whatever choice you have made. Just because we have the freedom to choose, doesn't mean we should have the right to take other people's freedom away.

there's no such thing as freedom it exists but only as a state of mind there really is no freedom with governments and laws the only real time we are free is when we sleep when we are able to dream and when we can just get away from it all no cares or worries not caring whether you wake up or not freedom is a word used nearly everyday but people know so little of it and what it really truly means and i Can tell you one thing if what people here say freedom means is true that i have lived my life all wrong because i know freedom is liberty not corrupt politicians getting away with anything freedom is expression not Guantanamo bay freedom is diversity and dignity not tolerance and prejudice

freedom is a term taken for granted people here think they are free except for the fact that they are held in place by society ruled over by the government and brainwashed by the media if this is the true definition of freedom i wish to take no part in it and my whole life trying to find freedom i found disappointment and malicious intent

we are all entitled to out opinion and we are all entitled to free speech but is speech really free? if not what is the price we pay for it and who is really the one that must pay think about that the next time you pledge your allegiance [freedom] to the flag

Hi, Megh,
"Freedom" to me is very important because it gives me the rights and privileges that make my everyday life so much better... I am free to speak my mind..
>>>>>>>
I also have the freedom, to follow my own religion.. without being pressured by others, and be my own individual self...
All these freedoms are important for living my daily life, in which also lead up to the "right" to make my own decisions and choices....
>>>>>>>>
Hopefully, I make the proper, true and fit preferences, although many a time, I, as well as others, am tempted to make the unjust ones....
>>>>>>>>
With this freedom, comes responsibility... I am responsible for my mind and actions, and I choose to live my life with these freedoms... that make it so special... :)
>>>>>>
Don’t underestimate your life, because with all your freedoms and rights, you can make something out of it, and that is the best freedom of all.... :))
>>>>>>>
Thanks, for the question!;)

My regards!

Take care!

Freedom is to me based around three tenets.

Economical freedom - to live a reasonable lifestyle, to have a time of work and leisure
Social freedom- ability to express myself and beliefs with protection
Political freedom- the ability to affect change in how my society is goeing about itself, to change goverments, laws etc.

In our limited physical state and within the limits of our country, world etc...freedom has many meanings.
Some say it is over-rated or not a reality. Like anything, it is what you make of it.

Ultimately 'freedom' to me is the ability to BE who I am and THINK what want to without caring about what anyone else thinks. Not to DO or SAY whatever I wish, since there are limits in our society.

The only place we are trully free is within ourselves.

Sorry, but we have no freedom we are all pre-determined by our environments. Our appearance of freedom comes from choice, but choice is also determined by environment. Therefore their is no true freedom, only the illusion of it.

Freedom is the dissolution of all psychological conditioning (illusions). Our mind is fragmented (divisive) and these are all enclosure that hold our mind.. We cannot live fully because of these walls of ignorance we call subjective knowledge. To dissolve these subjectivity is to be free of illusions, this I call freedom.

It means I can criticize my government without fear of being shot or worse. I can marry who I want, have as many kids as I want, get the job/career I want, and practice whatever religion I want.
I can have police & fire protection and a great school system from my taxes---or I can send my kids to a private school on my own dime.I can go WHERE iI want WHEN I want, and as long as I don't break the law, nobody will stop me.
And MUCH much more!
