I live in a rented duplex with wooden floors. Over the years, they are scratched in places. I would like to make them look good without spending a lot of money. I also have a cat and like to use natural products

Half a cup of fabric softener to a gallon of water.(works on tile floors also)

Rmove the furniture. Wipe floor down with mineral spirits. Re-varnish with a floor hi-gloss polyurethane. Put the cat in the kennel for a week.

I use Murphy's Oil soap for wood floors. Smells great, and works even better. It doesn't dull the shine at all.

A damp rag, a little Old English, and a lot of elbow grease.
On you hands and knees of coarse.

There's only one way to go and that is Murphys soap.........Then give it a good waxing,you can use mop&Glow.
