No, many women don't. Some people have more elastic skin than others do. I had 4 children, and the last two were twins, carried full term. One was 7 lbs & the other almost 6 lbs... and I am a very small lady. And I have no stretch marks.

No. Some women are very lucky. But most women only get stretchmarks their first pregnancy and none in any consecutive ones. It has to do with how much elasticity is in the skin.

I've had children and do not have any stretchmarks-I was told by the ob/gyn that a lot of it has to do with your nationality and how well you take care of yourself...I always used cocoa butter and that works very well...

Stretch marks are the skin expanding. Yes, everyone gets them (save for morbidly obese people). Whether they are visible after pregnancy is mostly dependant upon genetics. Good genetics = no scarring. You can reduce scarring by using products such as coco butter and other lotions.

I am not pregnant yet, but I developed stretch marks from gaining and losing weight. There are some lotions or cremes available that help heal the stretch marks.

No it depends on the elasticity of the skin.

My mother had seven children and no stretch marks.

I never got stretch marks either when I had my child.

No, it is really a matter of genetics, weight gain and how many babies the mother is carrying. And once you have them those suckers never totally go away!

No, not every woman gets stretch marks when they're pregnant. I did, but that was just me.
