ok so you did a gram stain and its a GPB.. What about growth conditions? I presume it grew in air therefore it's not a strick anerobe. We would need more information. What culture media did it grow on? Where did this colony originate from. Is it from a swab or environmental monitoring plate?What colour is the colony? Catalase would not be enough to identify it. You need more biochemical tests to identify it such as in API or equivalent biochemical rapid tests. Could be a Bacillus species...I find presence of spores is not always a reliable thing to go on.

Almost every microbiology textbook has this information in it, and you should check there. Beta-hemolysis with gold/yellow smooth moist colonies.
