Sir: If you do not understand grammar you will make it hard for others people to clearly understand what it is your writing about. Good Grammar helps you know what tents to use, what verb, and when one sentence starts and the other ends. It makes your writings more understandable and your point more clearly understood. It will also help you speak better as well!

Without the foundation of grammar (and spelling) one diminishes the perception of validity of the idea or the argument they are trying to convey. Rightly or wrongly, if you cannot structure a sentence properly or punctuate correctly then you will not have the ability to do anything other than spout an opinion.
