I feel sad for the boy's family.
He has a family who love him, want to see him but obviously know he is destined for a life of poverty if he stayed.
Hence the reason they eventually relented and let him go.
Surely, she could have adopted a little child who had been orphaned by war, famine or AIDS and made a better life for him.
I hope she does something for the child's family back home in Africa..
Otherwise the child may grow up with resentment that he was never given the chance to know his family..was separated from them and they were left behind to face whatever she thought she was saving him from.
She should have done more to keep the family together..

Yea it was against the wishers of some of the African chiefs that were doing very well out of it trading with The whites and the Arabs.I f Africa had spent the money more wisely that the west ect have donated all these years there might not be so many kids in homes does the pill ect work in Africa I would,nt want a child if it was going to be born into poverty.that's Slavery . When the child grows up I dout if it would agree with all you self righteous people. Madonna has purchased a black child out of poverty slavery

I don't think she's going to train the child to be staff though. She will love the child and care for it. That would be like saying we are being racist for employing an African person to work under us and then if we did not employ them to a lesser position than us we are being racist for not giving them the job. If she had gone to Africa and purchased a white child would it have made a difference? Why did you feel the need to use the word black? Madonna went to Africa and adopted a child and paid the legal fees to do so. Racism is blamed all too often. Colour is blamed too often. You stupid little person, don't you realise that as a gay icon any gay man that answers on here to defend good old Madge can scream much louder than you?

you are cruel. A child is saved from starvation and will have a great home. Get your facts. Check it out how she got the child and know that it was all above board and if you consider her donation for an orphanage with 3 million is buying a child then by all means let her BUY some more. They do not have an orphonage right now.

This isn' slavery! This is just another immigrant (lets not forget she's American!) shipping in yet another immigrant into our country! People seem to forget we are only a small island, and im sure one of these days we will sink under the sheer weight of all the immigrants that none of us want over here! I'm disgusted with Madge's actions, if she wants to carry on like that let her do it on her own turf!

I think its wrong when the father was wanting to see the child regularly. Maybe if there is nobody for the child and there was little hope for them then she could adopt

oh i wish i was that kid !!one day waking up after having noting to eat except a fly that accidently landed on my toungue a week ago and then madonna comes with her private jet and whisks me away from my crappy country !!!
