Do you think that the 80's is a dark age, a worst decade?

Fashion?Hairs? Entertainement? Music? Attitude? Intelligence? Technology?

As myself, I think the 80's are cool only from the music (new wave), which it is fun to listen and great ballad which you sense the feeling.

The fashion is very strange and ridiculous if it was today. Often a reject.

Some say that people from the 80's ( teen and people) are stupid and despited 80's and he is only 19 years old. True?

80's, a worst decade that you refuse to know?
Which decade do you considered as Dark Age in general? 50's, 60's, 70's, 90's

I'm a big fan of the 80's! Music, Fashion if was in the 80's ( ridiculous if it was today) ,TV like Start Trek: TNG, Degrassi, Miami Vice and cartoons like Ghostbusters, Jem, Kidd Video, etc...
Movie such as 16 Candles, Top gun, Robocop, Raining Man, Pretty in Pink, Dirty dancing. Entertainement. Anime like Ranma 1/2, Saint Seiya, Kimagure Orange Road, Sber Rider, Robotech,etc...

I want to live in the 80's!

I know a lot of artists from the 80's like Duran Duran, Madonna, The Bangles, U2, INXS,Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Depeche Mode, The Police, Bryan Adams, Cyndi Lauper, Foreigner. Even the rare, Berlin, Mr.Mister, Cutting Crew, Thompson Twins, A Flock of Segaulls, Talk TAlk, Spandu BAllet .

I enjoy very much the 80's although I'm 20 years old and live 5 years in this decade. Still, I hear many negative respond to freinds who hate the 80's

Plus, you know the popular show That 70's Show? How come the 80'S, which broadcast on TV show were cancel short time?

Compared to the 80's cartoons to today. 80s Cartoons in 80's have more values and morals to teach to young kid and more fun, than the awful cartoons of today, which I switch all the way to ANIME.

I'm a HARDCORD ANIME FAN and 80'S TOO.
I know tone of songs and artists from the 8)'s for 4 years old with a strong memories of the title from the artist. Like Final coutdown by Europe.

The 70's had to the dark age. I wasn't born there but the pictures and the music really does scare me and i think that was when drug became a real big issue. They always said "if it feels good, do it"

"Do you think that the 80's is a dark age, a worst decade?"

>>No, I don't think the 80's was a dark age or the worst decade. Personally, I happen to love the 80's and anything that has to do with it. If going back in time was possible I'd love to go back to the 80's.

"Fashion?Hairs? Entertainment? Music? Attitude? Intelligence? Technology?"

>>Fashion: coming back
>>Hair: some of it is coming back too
>>Music: Personally, I like the music from the 80's better than the music now.
>>Technology: Technology has definitely come a long way since the 80's

"The fashion is very strange and ridiculous if it was today. Often a reject."

>>If you take a look around a lot of the fashions that were worn in the 80's are coming back in style now. Do you know those leggings that you can wear under skirts? Well, I used to wear those under my skirts when I was in Jr. High school(1986-1989).

The 80's was a pretty cool decade and I loved growing up during it.

I liked the 80's. I was in high school during the 80's, and I still love the music from that time. Some of the fashions were a little odd, however, all decades have strange fashions. We just ripped apart 70's clothes in the 80's, and then 70's clothes became fashionable. Now a lot of 80's fashions are back. Jeans that are tight at the ankle, big sweaters, ankle boots, and hounds tooth miniskirts are some examples of what is back in style from the 80's. Not all the fashions were bad. There was the punk group, but there was also preppy clothes. We wore a lot of oxford shirts, Izods, penny loafers, sweaters, and plaid skirts. At least we were covered, and not showing our bodies to the world at age 14. People in the 80's had more manners and respect for each other. TV wasn't as raunchy. There were less drugs available(at least drugs like heroin). Looking back at the hair, it was ridiculous, but it didn't seem to be at the time. MTV came out in the 80's.

I don't see any decade as a dark age. They all had their purpose, and there were many positive changes throughout each decade.

I'm from the 80's. The music was the best ever. I hear teen kids listening to it still today, those 80's musicians are making more month than ever in the 2000's. People cared about their hair and took hours to get those "big hair-do's". By the way big hair is supposedly coming back (although I could do without this).

As for the "stupid people" comment. People are people, you are either born stupid or not - and this goes for every generations. But please note, computers really came in 80's where they started being a part of everyone's life.

I can't say that I remember much about the 80s. I was born in 1983. Yeah, there were a lot of crazy and bad things back then. But there was a lot of good too.

As for being stupid? Nah. I have a college degree, and I'm currently working on my second. Not too many people have two college degrees on their resume - much less one or even a high school diploma.

I would say that the stretch between the 50's and 90's was a bad time, in general, because of the Cold War with the Soviet Union. But things started to look up after the Berlin wall and the Soviet Union fell. Tensions between the United States and Russia was relieved some.

10's. Ravel's "Bolero" and Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" are between my own well-liked tunes. you may desire to be a real music lover by using the way. 70's. i'm at coronary heart a rockn'curler (although its spelled) and that appears like the majical era the place the perfect wave of inventive liberty broke. 40's. Woody Guthrie, Sonny Boy Williamson, AM radio. ninety's. the last decade which i think of all of us associate the main with our passions. 1990 i replaced into 14. the subsequent day i replaced into 24 and 10 years have been long gone. i think of the soundtrack replaced into stable sufficient tho, as because of the some epic acts from all aspects of the music international. it is unlucky that what replaced into bought and what replaced into stable have been 2 various issues although.

I could do w/o most of the fashion of the 80s, but as far as music is concerned it was awesome. I have a great appreciation for all of the different genres of music from that decade and that has continued to this day.

The 80s were great. Sure, we had big hair, but we didn't have wars going on like now. The music was awesome (Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Metallica). I think we're living in the dark age now.
