i go to uni in london and in 3 weeks is the second time this happens, the first time a girl came to me and said, " I think you are different, but i like your style", and today another one came to me and said " i think you are a bit eccentric but i like your style", whats going on? english is not my first language so i dont really gettit but what i get is that people notices me. what they may mean? any suggestions wellcome.

It just means that you are a very unique person and they dig your style! Dont sweat it!!! Being eccentric is not a bad thing....you are very orriginal and can express yourself openly!
I love that in a person.

I think they are giving you what we call "back-handed compliments," which means that it is a compliment that is sort of an insult as well. They are saying that while they think you look sort of weird compared to the other kids at university, they are intrigued by your style. If I were you, I would take it as a compliment and continue to follow your own style.

That probably means, if you wore different clothes, had a different hairstyle looked like brad pitt, didnt own them shoes and wernt a geek, They would! But as you do, They wont

Probably means they think your outfits or hairstyle are not the norm - i.e. you are not a fashion victim but you manage to pull it off. You are individual and the girls seem to like it so enjoy it!

it means they either think you are slightly mad but they like your clothes, or that your fashion style is unique. it may also mean you are different, but you have a great personality
