Does the pay cut bring your hourly rate below the Minimum Wage for your State?
How many employees do the same work you do?
Why do you think that the Company cut your pay? Have you had a "counselling session" with the supervisor?
I would recommend that you ask your supervisor for the reason for the paycut. If you don't like the answer e-mail me with full details and we can go from there.

You have the right to ask why. They have the right not to answer but... It will have discrimination written all over it if they don't, then I would recommend you seek action.
If they do provide an answer... come back and tell us what their response was! The Labor Laws are clearly defined & it will be obvious if they have violated State or Federal Regulation!
Anytime an employer singles out one person they open themselves up for a discrimination suit. You need to start with getting the employers official response and go from there....

It is legal, unless it was specifically in retaliation against you for something along the lines of trying to form a union, submitting a complaint regarding unsafe work conditions, etc. If you did something like that and then they docked your pay to get back at you, that's illegal. Otherwise, if it was just their business decision, unfortunately they can.
Out of curiosity what state do you live in?

It really depends. If you're getting a W-2 with every pay check then it'll be unethical, but not illegal for your boss to reduce your pay without letting you know. It would be ethical for your boss to let you know that your next pay check the pay will be reduced by X amount.
If you're getting paid under-the-table then it won't be illegal nor unethical for your boss to cut your pay anytime.

I do not believe this is legal. Before your boss decreases your wage, he should tell you ahead of time and the reason why it's happening. You should contact him for a meeting or meet with your human resource department with this problem.

Did you check with your company to make sure if was not a mistake. I worked with a guy that once got a check for $7650 when it should have been $760. Companys do have errors at times.

I would not continue working for an employer who did that with no prior notice.
