Kim Basinger is definitely hotter and a better actress. Melanie Griffith has had too many lip injections and she looks like a dumb blond twit. Her acting is horrible (have you seen her sit-com Twins?) but at least she has a hot husband..Antonio Banderas. Kim is a pretty good actress and she has natural beauty.

As a couple, I much prefer Antonio and Melaine over Alec and Kim, but when it comes to Who's hotter? and Who's a better actress? In both I HAVE TO go with Kim Basinger.
If you ask me to rate "Taste in men? I would give that one hands down to Melaine, but like somebody else wrote, as an actress, "she sets my teeth on edge...."

I've always preferred Kim Basinger - there's something about Melanie Griffith that just sets my teeth on edge.

Well since I'm gay it doesn't really matter to me either way. However I did like Kim Basinger in Batman playing Vikki Vale, she was great in that. I don't know too many notable movies that Melanie Griffith has been in lately. They've both struggled in their careers though too.

I prefer Kim Bassinger. The Marrying Man is one of my all-time favorite movies.
However, Melanie's got the hottest husband!!
