Why would aU.S. company only make Autoturbo Quattro engines in Mexico instead of a whole auto?

U.S. company doing business in uevo Laredo. What gains does this company have doing business there?

Taxes. It's an import tax advantage to have the parts made outside the U.S. and assembled in the U.S. We have received parts that were made in Mexico and boxed in Canada before being shipped to the U.S. because it was cheaper that way.
