You don't say what was wrong with the starters.If it was the gear-ring on the flexplate your parts store guys should have picked up on that.I've seen numerous starters go bad ,but it was always with guys buying the "rebuilt-1 yr.warranty autozone $30 starter"

Sounds Like a bad flywheel or flex plate.

i had a truck that did the same thing you know what it was the flywheel was wrong and it was throwing the starter didnt know there was two diff transmissions for my truck that took diff flywheels so if it was me i would start there might b a couple diff transmissions for your van and you just need a diff flywheel

You may have a bad flywheel. The teeth may be worn from the previous bad starters.

Have you checked the timing chain??????
