I think women in the police force is kind of a touchy subject. Women are always screaming about "equality" and such. Then why oh why do women have different qualifications when it comes to becoming a police officer (or any other law enforcement agency) and a member of the military?
If women can do everything men can do then that is great. Instead of a women having 15 1/2 minutes to run 1.5 miles make them run it in the same time as a man, 8 minutes. Instead of having to do 15 push-ups in 60 seconds, women should have to do the same as men, 32 in 60 seconds.
That is what I would call equal.
Good Luck!

I think a female police officer is great. I was in the Army. Women are expanding their role in the work enviroment every day. The only problem is when you choose a non-convitinal work place that women are not generally excepted in. You will get some discrimination, all you need to do is your job. you do not have to prove your worth to them unless they are your boss.

There are some who have done very well at it. One such, with the Washington State Patrol, was for quite a while the spokesperson for the force, but she passed her promotion exam and is now one of the bigwigs. I think that's cool.

I think they are at much greater risk to get an asswhuppin out in the field. Not a good idea. Same with women in combat.
