Why? Its because the early detection test is designed to pickup on lower levels of the pregnancy hormone. Its likely you are pregnant as false positives are rare, and the regular pregnancy tests wont tell you anything useful if it is too early to detect the hormone. I suggest you go see your doctor.

Hi don't know but i have had a negative result on my home test and a water sample test at doctors my doctor just looked at me and said you look pregnant i look about 6 months gone and only 4weeks + 2 days but this is normal for me even some fella offered his seat on the bus as he thought i am pregnant but still no positive test yet.
we will just have to wait a bit longer for the tests to work by the way this has happened to me before Good Luck.

The hormone levels might not be strong enough to be picked up by the normal tests...I guess that the Early predictors are ultra sensitive to the hormone.
Use the first pee of the day for the most accurate results.

pregnancy tests actually measure the amount of a certain hormone in your body. during the 28 day period, theses hormone levels keep changing. when you took your test your hormones might have been high but now they went down again as the days past. the faint positive that you got, im sorry to say, was probably an anomaly.
