I decided to try out the new pumps at 'Big Al's Gulp N Save' because they advertised gas for $1.79 a gallon.

Well now the inside of my Pacer smells like a used sumo thong. I am typing this on my laptop as I speed down the highway with the windows down to air the car out but I still think I might pass out.

What should I do?

Regardless of how poor the gas you put in your tank you should not be getting any odour in the car unless you spilled some or your cap is not shut tight. Check connections between the inlet to the tank and where the inlet pipe joins the tank. I don't know who supplies Al's with product but typically the gases are all tested to meet certain specs and you should not be getting bad odour problems. In the short term close your windows and make sure your outside air vent is open and see if the odour disperses, opening all the windows lowers the pressure in the car thus allowing odours to enter.

Bean-o

But if you really have stinky car gas, just use up that tank then never buy gas there again. Wear one of those painting masks until then.

Also, typing on a laptop while speeding down the highway is illegal in 53 states.

That's a new one on me. Usually bad gas means that the gas has started turning to shellac or there is water mixed in with the gas. Either pump it out into metal cans and give it to someone you don't like or live with it until you use it up in a few days.

How do you know what a sumo thong smells like??
just kidding.....anyway, that smell appeared out of no where? Just like taht? I find it hard to believe. What does it really smell like? Maybe rotten eggs or sulfer? Then if so, your catalytic converter is going bad.
good luck.........

Dude I was about to say take some Pepto Bismol but that's not the gas you are talking about. Lol seriously look at your question! Also, why the heck are you using your laptop on the road!!?!?!?!?? That's worse than using a cellphone while driving, WAAAAAAY worse.

DON'T go back to big al's 1st of all , and 2nd if it smells more like rotten eggs, it's your catalytic converter that needs to be replaced and not the gas.
