I dont think there is anything wrong with the age gap but i would be concerned about the dating online bit at such a young age.

Whatever happened to the traditional guy meets girl, guy goes round to call for girl and take her out, guy drops her off and has a good night kiss? Why has it been replaced by 'guy logs on, guy IMs girl, they cyber, then log off'? Call me old fashioned (and i am only 24, lol!) but there is no comparison!

Explain more details. Is she seeing him in person or just chatting with him online?

If it's just online chatting, it's not real. Dating is when you actually date the person face to face; not over the internet. Big difference.

And, yes, he is in the wrong. She is a minor and he is considered an adult in most states. He could be arrested.

is this a problem? 3 years is not a bad difference in age. my husband is 3 years older than me. and online is harmless, it's probably a phase and if it's not you should wish em the best of luck being a friend and all.
also no legal action can be done unless they are sleeping together and still the chances are slim because in a lot of states 15 is becoming the age where they can consent to sex. like i said my husband is 3 yrs older than me. he was 19 when i met him and i was 15 almost 16.

Legally, it's wrong and he can get into a LOT of trouble for being with a minor if someone catches them in the act.
