i'm not talking whiny-voice screamo, like fall out boy, senses fail, hawthorne heights, and AFI. although i like AFI, their music is goth rock, not hardcore punk. and FOB just sucks. Rise Against is awesome, Black flag is cool, underoath is awesome, thrice is cool. you get the idea? i'm starting a band sort of like that, but we want to get more influences so we don't copy anyone. what are some good hardcore artists?

oh, and could you recommend any more songs from the artists i already named? i love everything i hear from rise against. black flag shows where it all came from, underoath is really heavy, angry, and also has a great message. so does thrice.

Bad Brains, which is considered one of the first harcore punk bands. Check 'em out.
Their website is kind of crappy though.
Also, Minor Threat, which is considered one of the first hardcore punk bands too. I like Minor Threat okay, but I actively listen to Bad Brains A LOT.

Maybe try Stranger By Day and Venice Drowning? They're on purevolume. Though I'm not sure if you'd count them as not being "whiny-voice screamo".

so you want some hardcore bands....metallica, slayer <- anti christ, pantera, megadeth, BLS, Testament....these bands influenced our group and many other awesome bands!
