Cancers are great people to be around. They make excellent friends, fun people to hang out with and they can definitely be trusted to be there when you need them. they are as you say very sensitive, emotional and attention seeking--this has to do with the fact they are water sign creatures (and you will notice Pisces and Scorpio also have above mentioned features).
Cancers have an excellent sense of humor--are very good at sarcasm, and tend to be the life of the party due to their upbeat positive public appearance.
On the other hand Cancers can be self indulgent, selfish, whiny and a bit depressed at times....they come down hard on themselves and others--and sometimes expect people to do everything for them. They are the "why me" sign of the zodiac.

They also love to dance, sing, laugh, joke and party.
