No, stars are spheroidal, like all other sufficiently massive objects in the universe. The reason a drawn "star" has five or more points is because a celestial star, when viewed from Earth, appears to twinkle, and rays of light tend to catch the eye such that they appear to project rays that we interpret as the points of a star. This is also why the Sun is often drawn with rays coming from it.
