I just voted... These were my choices:
1. Acropolis, Athens, Greece - because Greece is the cradle of the Western civilization and Acropolis is the symbol of it.
2. Angkor Wat Temple, Cambodia - Buddhists built some amazing structures and because Borobudur isn't on the list, then I'll have to go with Angkor Wat
3. Easter Island Statues, Chile - This is probably the only selectin on the list that truly makes me wonder as to WHY someone bothered to build them!
4. Eiffel Tower, Paris - This was my last pick on the list. I had a hard time deciding but I thought it would be nice to include one truly modern wonder on the list
5. Great Wall, China - That's a non-brainer. The wall is just an amazing feat of engineering.
6. Pyramids of Giza, Egypt - One of the original 7 Wonders of the World, which is still standing and drawing ooh's and aah's.
7. Taj Mahal, Agra, India - It's kind of kitchy, but that may be due to overexposure. Also, I thought India deserves to have something on the list.

Some on the list doesnt even deserve to be there. Sorry. Have you ever been to the Philippines? The current 8th wonder of the world can be found there. The Banawe Rice Terreces.
It a mountain range that was turned into rice terreces by the natives, what 500 years ago? not sure. And its still there, you should see it, quite awe inspiring.
