Same thing is happening to me. I haven't gained that much but I have gained to where I feel I'm already showing. With my first pregnancy I actually lost 20 pounds in my first trimester. Some people tell me that I'm probably having twins but I guess only time will tell. Just don't worry about it. Remeber you're pregnant this is the only time you can have an excuse for gaining weight and eating whatever you want! Enjoy it! I am!

Don't worry about the weight right now, just make sure you are eatting healthy so your baby can get all the goodness. I looked 7 months pregnant when I was only 5. Once you have the baby, you can concentrate on losing the weight. Breast feeding will do wonders in assisting with the weight and getting your tummy down!

Are you eating healthy foods? Some women gain weight right away, even if they eat super healthy. Next time you see your doctor mention how much weight you have gained and find out what the doctor would like you to gain with this pregnancy. If it seems a normal diet won't allow that, talk to the doctor about which foods to eat and which to avoid. You can't go wrong with vegetables, especially dark green ones. Also try to eat lean meat and drink lots of water. If you aren't drinking enough water your body may be retaining it, causing you to gain weight very quickly.

Dont wory about it hun, Im 9 weeks and Im huge already - I look as if Im 6 months pregnant already - I was the same with my first but found that after about 5 or 6 months I stayed the size I was till he was born. Its all the joys of being pregnant. Every women is different - my friend is 14 weeks and Im twice the size of her so I wouldnt worry too much its perfectly natural.

Good luck with your pregnancy!

Unless you've been eating like a horse I wouldn't worry!

I put on a lot of weight in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. But it levelled out and at 32 weeks I'm still looking nice and trim (apart from the bump) and my weight hasn''t really gone up that much further.

Sometimes women put a lot on in the first few weeks and then less in the rest of their pregnancy. Others don't put anything on until much later on and then pile on the pounds like there's no tommorrow.

We all handle pregnancy differently.

OH MY!!Too much- unless you are an underweight twig- you don't have to eat for 2 and you are not going to break- so either your intake has increased, your activity decreased or both- that is hard on a body and the joints and too much wt gain and decreased activity increases chances for a more difficult labor and other problems- I am surprised the md did not gripe-D

You usually gain the most weight at the beginning of the pregnancy. Your body is retaining water now so that probably has a lot to do with it.

I gained 15 pounds during the first trimester with both my babies. The reason for me is I stopped smoking and started eating alot. You should check with your OB.
