Typically men are distant. We have been brought up to be the strong distant man. You don't see the "Marlbough Man" or the "Old Spice" guy talk about his feelings on Oprah do you?
And would you really want that type of guy? Many girls like a guy...not a girl in disguise. You would probably get tired or complacent with him if he was more open. Many women like the mystic of the man as do men like the mystic of the woman.
I have been distant and it's worked out well....conversly I have been very open and it has not been received very well. I'm of the tendency to not want to be so open with a woman. read Carlos Castenada in his book a "Yaqui way of knwoledge"
Good luck

I'm not, but I see too many men who do love their partners but don't seem able to express it.
Many boys and girls are brought up by parents who don't love their children and others by parents who for some reason or another have difficulty showing love to their children.
If people don't receive any love then often it does not come naturally to give it to others.
It is amazing how many men say that they can't even buy a bunch of flowers without feeling that they are being too 'romantic'.

relationships are built and destroyed over time. its often a action reaction sort of thing. in my former marriage it reached the point that i knew that it did not matter what i thought, she would listen and then do what she wanted to do anyway. quite often in the long run what i had wanted us to do was the right thing. so look for a pattern between you two, if you see one change it, if after a length of time there is no improvement then the relationship may have reached the point that it is beyond repair.

It's not in anyway by any choice of mine, but because she told me she didn't love me anymore. Like a wife should love her husband, and that I shouldn't try to work on our marriage or get us closer. That she wanted a divorce and that I should move on.

aaabsolutely....my wife is a control freak and it gets on my nerves bigtime. all relationships have ebb and flow but anyone who thinks feminism is good for marriage ought to have their head examined.
Im tired of getting all my input filtered and pre programmed. If things are already going to be decided for me why discuss them at all?

I tend to get a little distant when I am ill. She gets clingy when sick but I am just wired to want to be alone.
