I stopped shopping at Wal-mart some time ago. I refuse to support them in any manner and discourage everyone I know from shopping there.

I don't and won't shop at Wal-Mart.....I prefer Target. To me saving a buck or two is not that big of a deal and I would rather not spend my time in that store with the "Wal-Mart" shoppers. Besides...its a gross store.

I don't like to do so, but sometimes I have little choice.
I get the majority of my clothes as hand-me-downs or from thrift stores. I also make some, recieve some as gifts, or buy merch from local music artists. I never buy clothes from walmart.
However, I am a poor college student that's struggling with money right now, and feeding myself is one concern, so if there's something they have that is cheaper than I can get it anywhere else, I cave and go there. My area isn't a very large one, and choices of places to shop at aren't very good. I can find certain canned items and so on that are cheaper there than any of the regular grocery stores have it, and we don't have the different 'bulk' stores (besides Sam's Club) or discount food stores like some areas do.
It isn't all that often that I go, but it happens from time to time.

Not me. I go to the mall. Wal-mart edits ALL their CD's. I get mine at FYE. As for clothes and other things at Boscovs. Wal-mart sucks! Target is WAY better! No censored CDs! As for food, I go to ACME or Pathmark. I get my movies at Suncoast and my books and magazines at Borders and Barnes and Nobles. I only go to Wal-mart when I'm almost broke!

I avoid my local walmart super center at all costs. The only reason I do this is because it's always WAY too crowded. It can be 11 pm on a tuesday night and the parking lot is packed. Try shopping there on a saturday afternoon.. it's madness. You can hardly push your cart though the aisles. I do respect that Walmart has good prices... if it was a ton less crowded, I would probably choose it over my local Super target, which I go to instead.

I feel WalMart has moral and ethical dilemmas they need to resolve before some one else comes along and steals their client base.
In the meantime, why should I pay a dollar more for the exact same product at another grocery chain? WalMart's fruit and meat departments are terrible, so I have a reliable backup, but a can of "name brand" soup is the same everywhere. On my family's tight budget, I'll pay as little as possible.
