Ok here is the thing. I am a 3/4 student I take 9 units at a community college each semester and I do get aid for that. However my personal finances and recently become strapped do to people owning me money I am unable to collect and a recently unexpected move. In order to make this horrible move I has to use one of those Advance America things I know it will be hard to get out of that being that I live pay check to pay check as it is. I thought about getting a student loan to pay off some bills but I have poor credit. Any suggestions that might help me get back in the PLUS! If loans are a possiblity could you recommend a loan company that might approve it.

Thanks to all you who suggested I get a job. But I have a full time job and being that I am a student it's hard to work more hours. Thanks for the comments.

Some lessons on Finance and budgeting are in order. Try to collect the money people owe you, explain your own financial difficulties, and tell them you expect them to repay what they owe you, or you may have to take more drastic actions. Is this a lesson learned about extending loans to others? If you are having problems with the Advance America "thing" do not get yourself in to more debt. How would you be able to repay that ? What you need is an income , you do not say if you are currently employed? If not ,you should be at least part time in order to repay, what you owe. It sound like you need financial advise on how to live within your means.

My suggestion would be to do whatever you need to do to get your financial house in order. If that means cutting back on the number of units, do it. Getting your credit rating up , paying off bills and all that is a major pain. BUT, the rewards are incredibly high. EVERYTHING costs more when your credit rating is low and you use credit cards or take out other loans to buy things. You're much better off getting things in order--it's like paying yourself first.

the word for today is j o b ... you need to make more money, one way or another.. either work more hours, get a better job, etc.

trying to borrow your way out will only make things worse.

also, don't loan friends or family money... it's really a bad idea, as you've found out...
