The Bush Administration does not want to go to war with North Korea. That's why the sanctions are so toothless, but neither Bush nor Bolton have complained about that. They want the North Koreans to have nuclear weapons.
This is another excuse for a very profitable arms race. The Bush Adminstration will soon be talking about the need for a highly expensive missile defence system (all paid for by the taxpayers to the Lockheed Martin, no doubt) and Japan will soon be buying the technology from the US to build its own nuclear weapons.
North Korea has learned lessons from India, Pakistan, Israel, and Iraq: If a country has nuclear weapons then it can do whatever it wants, but if it does not then it becomes subject to invasion and regime change.

By the phrasing of your question I am assuming you are American and therefore a mad hatter anyway. Mad hatter is my word for freak of nature. If you dont like what is happening within your government, do something about it. That is what your vote is for. I just thought I would explain that bit in case you didn't know.
As far as North Korea is concerned, it is no more a threat than China and I don't see us waging war on China.

North Korea is not ready to implode - Kim Il Jong has an iron grip on the leadership and there just isn't a viable opposition. The starving masses will continue to focus on their attempts to get through the day and feed their family - not revolt against the leaders. The US will not attack a country so close to China, especially if China is against the attack... which it will be. The reason China got involved in the Korean War was because of its close proximity.

i imagine Bush develop into duped into believing that the guns of mass destruction were there through the CIA besides as different orginizations, now he and all and assorted else is gun shy. Election campaigns will be starting up quickly and the Republicans do not elect to open yet another can of worms. yet another aspect is, i imagine each and every man or woman is afraid to do some thing to Korea in case China, who has and is a real away supporter of the North Koreans would connect contained in the wrestle. i do not forget that the rationalization that went in Iraq develop into no longer for oil. the U. S. does no longer import oil from Iraq. lots of the Iraqi oil is going to China.

BUsh didn't wait for a vote on Iraq. As far as voting in America goes , Bush lost the first time he was elected . The popular vote went to Gore . Now thei're just manipulating the vote. Facism at it's best . Personally I'm Ready to leave this place .
The U.S.A . is dying from within . We have turned into a bunch of chickens . Paranoid of each other and pissing of the rest of the world .

Bush does not support war in N Korea right now. He always follows diplomacy protocol first. Liberals just choose to ignore that fact.

Bush could not make war on N Korea,he needs the backing of the US senate to go to war and that just would not happen. Its more likely there would be economic sanctions.

N.Korea has a million strong army,if the Chief Nut-case thinks America is about to attack,he will send his hordes into S.Korea, where the Americans couldn't use nukes without killing S.Koreans as well. Then, what happens if China swings in behind the N.Koreans? It's best to leave them alone, because in time,N.Korea will implode.

Don't worry about Bush, it's Israel you have to watch. Don't you forget that it's citizens are starving and reduced to eating grass.
They should be spending the cash on the infrastructure instead of pursuing a dream of becoming a super power. It's all predictable, if they succeed they will empower Iran and other tin pot countries.

They are marching about in a big square with burning torches a bit like those German chaps did a little while ago last century. They haven't got a good flag yet though.
Perhaps they've got Weapons of Mass Destruction - you know I wouldn't be surprised. We should keep a careful watch on them.
