I had the injection last month and I'm having really bad abdominal pains. It got really bad this evening and I tried to eat but that made it feel worse. It sometimes causes a sharp pain in the side of my chest and across my diaphragm area too. I 've had the injection once before but it didn't cause such serious pains.

my last injection was due in june, i didnt have it.
I was crippled up in pain in my belly.
Went to docs a few times, tested for water infection and ectopic preg. and everything.
It turns out some of us are more sensitive to the jab than others.
Ive had thrush loads since then, sore boobs like you wouldnt belive and just down right un-confortable.
Good news ive just come off my first real period and things are settling down.
I still get the sore boobs when im due on but everything is back to normal now.
Hang on in there you will get back to normal, but if ever your worried just nip down the docs to put your mind at rest.

GET OFF OF IT NOW!!! I was on it, and I will NEVER, EVER do it again. I had the same things happen to me. The pains in my abdomen were unbearable! And just wait until the cyst like pimples start! I'm STILL fighting with those! Please, I beg you, if you think it's bad now, get off it! It only gets worse! Please visit the link below. It was a good eye opener to me at the time. It's called Depo Provera (the brand I used) Horror Stories. There are literally hundreds of women out there with "horror stories" about this shot.

(I had my 4th injection before I realized it was the shot causing it all...after reading the horror stores, I quickly got off of it, and after a few months, I started coming back around)...(everything except the pimples...which weren't a problem before the shot!)

Think about it: How can 3 months worth of hormones all pumped into your body at once, possibly be good for you?? Heck, look at the pill? Introduced, and then 50 years later, decided it was too strong and causing too many health problems so they had to revise it...the shot hasn't been out that long to get all the kinks worked out)

I was on this for 9 months 2 years ago & didn't have any bad pains but felt bloated all the time & had headaches & pimples & my energy levels were quite low. It took ages for my periods to come back naturally & wouldn't recommend this form of contraception to anyone as it messes up your natural cycle for ages afterwards. Go see your GP urgently to get some peace of mind & find out if the jabs are the cause of your problems. Hope you feel better fast! :o)

I was on the contraceptive injection and did not have any pains like you describe only weight gain. Get it checked out as it may not be connected to the injection. Good luck

I had side affects when I was on it-cos you bleed throughout-but after 13 weeks which is when you have the 2nd injection it settles-I had pains with mine-I'm sure it will settle but if in doubt contact NHS helpline or see your GP

I would think these symptoms are completely unrelated to the depo jab.
You probably have something else going on here.

If your talking about Depo, then I have it but don't experience any of these symptoms. I would go to your GP and tell them.
