Because Hollywood and these writers live in La-La Land and don't know what the real world is like ... so they THINK what they do is entertaining, but in reality ....
It is so much recycled junk -- like the way they live their lives!

Because the viewing public accepts it. If the show sucks, don't watch it. If enough people will do this, the bad shows will disappear and the writers will be forced to actually come up with something fresh and original.

Well something becomes popular, like CSI for instance. Then all these other forensic shows start showing up because they know that it works and that's what people want to watch at the moment. My theory anyways.

Alot of them suck. It's probably cuz alot of people are undiscerning and will watch anything.
