Not to be rude, but I think you should learn to spell; you will get a much better grade on your paper. For me, divorce is a last resort. It is a sometimes necessary evil. That having been said, I think too many couples consider divorce an "easy out." It is no longer taken as seriously as it once was. When I was married, I married for life. If my marriage were in trouble, I would fight for it.

Where there are children involved, I am firmly against it. Unfortunately, a lot of people seem to get married because of a feeling of wanting to be married, not out of a sober understanding of what it takes to make a relationship work over a long period. You should come up with some specific questions to ask, like, "Under what conditions do you believe it's OK to divorce? Choose one or more of the following . . . One member:
1) is physically abusive.
2) has a substance addiction.
3) is in love with someone else.
4) goes deeply into debt.
5) wants children while the other does not.
6) is not happy.
7) has a much lower or higher sex drive than the other.
8) etc."
If you're doing a paper, get specific!

I am divorced, I hate it, I was put into a position I needed to get out of. Cheated on by a drug addicted man and I have a small child to protect. Drugs are everywhere I didn't need it in my home God knows life is tough enough my child will grow up to see some sad things and he doesn't need to see it in his own home. The x is or I should say was the All American College Quarterback that came from a broken home (was molested as a child) and is a Great Great man with a horrible horrible problem. DIVORCE SUCKS!!

First, my advice: Use spell check before you turn in your paper.
Now my opinion: Divorce is a very personal thing. Some people use it to get back at each other, some use it as a way out.
I am divorced. I stayed , unhappily in my marriage for 3 years. I was married for 7. I decided to do it to make my life better..and it is!
Many say its wrong, many say its a good idea, only as a last resort.I'm sure you will find many different opinions!
** Dont forget spell check!

I feel that Divorce is for the best in situations where there is Domestic Violence or crimes are being committed by one party to the relationship.
This happened to me -- and YES, I am MUCH HAPPIER knowing that I had to PAY a heft price (financially as well as otherwise) to LEAVE my Violent, Abusive, Mentally Ill ex - and ex that also abused my disabled children as well as myself -- and who stole from me and kept tormenting me even AFTER the divorce.
Just glad to NOT have his nasty self in my life -- and I've NEVER looked back. Unfortunate part of all this -- no matter how many Personal Protective Orders or Restraining Orders you have, no matter how many times you call the police to get that insane nutcase off your property or out of your office -- they will get a SLAP ON THE WRIST by the Judges and let out to violate once again -- so you HAVE to continue to keep PRESSING charges and calling the police and deal with the situation by NOT allowing one instance to go without filing charges against this type of ex.

First, is divorce, not divorse
Second, the amount of divorces is increasing because people is getting more selfish every time, and a marriage doesn't work that way.
Third, many people marry for the wrong reasons, and they end up divorcing

I don't like divorce, but I married the wrong person and didn't find out until I got married and matured. I am remarried and very happy. My son wish I stayed with his dad, that's what I hate the most about divorce, you can accept your screw ups, but the kids get hurt in the process.

How the hell can that be mutah? Both parties should know about the split otherwise it is an illegal marriage in the eyes of your Allah. Oh last time I checked only the shiah community does this and even then mutah marriages are frowned upon. Divorce is the most hated non-sin in the eyes of Allah apparently.
