In Illinois, you can substitute teach with a bachelor's degree but to become a full time teacher you will have to be certifed and licensed. There are core courses that must be taken and you have to meet a student teaching requirement. Illinois certifiction is top notch but without it, no full time job. Contact the Superintendent of Public Instruction in the county in which you live to receive the list of necessary requirements to get a teaching certificate and an application. You can submit your transcripts to Springfield along with an application. They will, in turn, send you what is call a deficiency statement which will spell out which courses you have yet to take in order to be certified.

i'm in CA, have a BA in psychology, and am commencing a instructor credentialing software this summer season. i'm optimistic it relies upon a great deal on the state you're in. For my software, you're able to desire to have a BA (any concern) and a few attempting out standards - then it quite is a 300 and sixty 5 days or so of credentialing instructions mutually as simulataneously interning as a instructor (paid).

i am in ohio and most of my sister is going into art teaching, you need to be certified, probably by taking a yera or two more classes and i think they start out around 30 and go up to about 50 - 70 thousand a year, depending on time teaching.
