I recommend going to the nearest public library that has a used bookstore or a book sale cart. They get lots of these Reader's Digest Condensed Books donated and they resell them really cheap. We would sometimes have specials, $1 for all you can carry.

Try Used Book Stores. Be sure to tell the clerk/owner about what you're looking for. Chances are they are not on the shelves and you may even get them for free. I own a Used Book Store in WV. I have more Readers Digest condensed books than I will ever need.

Does anyone have the vintage hard cover, colorful readers digest to borrow or for jeeps for a reception carrying the library theme? Will pay for shipping and return them? Need about 50 books. Thx!

Do you want the condensed books? Or the how-to books that RD puts out every once in a while? Or the history books that they've come out with?

If you want the condensed book - visit any garage sale as people are always trying to get rid of them and most libraries, book stores, etc will not take them as they have no value.

For any others - such as their "Unsolved Mysteries of the Past" or even some of their cookbooks (their informative books are actually quite nice). Try a used bookstore.

Years ago they published leather-bound books with the classics - full and unabridged classics. THey are quite nice to have.

Again - for any book other than the condensed books, try your local used bookstore. Or you could try RD's website at http://www.rd.com You also might want to try some used book sites such as http://www.abebooks.com or http://www.bookfinder.com

Go to a library and pick some GOOD books. Why would you want old Readers Digest books? There's nothing special about them.

Library books sales usually give them away as they have no commercial (and very little literary) value.
