If you are truly concerned, you might want to check with a fertility specialist. I had an ovary removed and some docs said 'no problem' and others said I might have issues. Well, I'm now 34 weeks pregnant and concieved right off the bat, so I guess some of those doctors were mistaken.
If you aren't ready to have kids, maybe it's something you shouldn't worry too much on until the time is right. I would try to have kids naturally at first, and if that doesn't seem to be effective, then seek the advice of a specialist. I've had plenty of friends been told they couldn't have kids and now have 3 or 4 without any extra "help" at all.

Definetly a DOCTOR question. Again, everyone is made differently. My sister who is in 15 years remission from cancer was told at the time of chemotherapy - she would and should not ever get pregnant. Casey is a beautiful, intelligent and healthy girl of 9 years old. Too bad my sister didn't go back to the doctor and prove him wrong. Ask your doctor and good luck!

Your doctor should be able to tell you, or suggest ways in which you can conceive.
Are you having regular periods? If you are, I'd say chances are you can get pregnant. There are procedures to help "keep you pregnant"(stitching up cervix), if this is the problem you are thinking about.
Don't stress yourself out worrying right yet. If you are curious, or if you just want to have peace of mind, talk to you doctor.
Good luck with this!

Go to your GYN and ask what types of tests you can have done to find out. When I went to a fertility specialist, she was able to determine whether I was able to have kids or not. She said that I could, but it'd be a crap shoot.
Well, I guess I won! Edd: 2/7/2007
Good luck!

Go to a OB/GYN and has this doctor check if you're ovulating- what they'll do is a blood test, looking for various harmones. You didn't specify what kind of surgery the doc did, so its hard to gauge- good luck

get an opinion from other doctors. my friend was in a terrible car accident and the doctors says she can't have any kids but she got pregnant accidently. so, just don't go test it out or anything, go to a doctor and ask.

Doctors can see if you are producing any eggs, and they can see whether your womb is suitable for a fertilised egg to implant, so yes make an appointment with the doctor.

It would be best not to worry about it until that time comes, then try your hardest! Finding out one way or the other isn't going to help you any. Just be happy and take life as it comes to you.

yup - go to the gyno and have her recommend a bloodwork up for you and your FSH levels you'll find out that way...also, if your levels are in the correct range (it's after your period so you'll be near ovulation) have your eggs frozen! it may be costly but I waited and went through years of IVFs and stuff and cannot have children ... which totally sucked...
