So that when clicked, it sends an email to customer@sbcglobal.net

you can also add text which will be the subject of the message by changing your link to be more like this:
Email Us

but there shouldn't be any spaces before the email addresses - i had to insert some so that yahoo didn't chop the lines up.

The part after the ? allows your to add a subject to the email, so that you can define a preset subject line.
