You have several choices as to dry cleaning garments at home. There are products available, like Dryel, that work in the dryer to freshen dry clean only garments. Some garments you can wash and block, like blended fiber sweaters, allowing them to air dry. Some garments made from synthetic or manmade fibers, like Rayon, can be washed on a delicate cyle, hang dried and then sprayed with sizing before ironing to maintain their shape and size. But, with rayon, you have to make certain that the colors are in not on the fibers or you will get bleeding. Many garments manufactured in SE Asia, Pakistan and India dye the fabric once it is made and the dyes are not set. You can use a color catcher, like shout, and a delicate detergent like Woolite to avoid dye bleeding in the washer using cold water on the most delicate cycle and a cup of white vinegar in the rinse water. Natural fibers, like wool and silk sometimes require special care because they lose their shape or shrink. Look carefully at the manufacturer's content and care tags before attempting any of these at home methods.

If you take the advise of the people telling you to put your DRY CLEAN ONLY clothes in the washing machine you are going to ruin them. There is a reason for the tag saying DRY clean, which means not to use water. Yes, you can do the hand wash clothes on the delicate cycle but not dry cleaning. Use the dryell stuff that some other people have already mentioned, it works perfectly on clothes that aren't stained. If you have really dirty dry clean only clothes, take them to the professionals.

You can buy "Dryelle" which is an at home dry cleaning method you can purchase at the local grocery store. You clean your clothes in the dryer. I think it costs about 10 dollars for the regular size. Check walmart and coupons for lower prices.
