The Germans during the war made an" Ersatzes" Coffee by roasting and grinding them, I dont know what it was like! Best thing to do with them is fill your pockets with them and plant them as you travel, as there are not many deciduouse trees left. ( they drop their leaves)

uhhhh an 'acorn tree' is called an Oak Tree and yes acorns are edible to animals, squirrels love em - oh and they fall in the fall it's how mighty oaks grow.

Everyone is right about animals eating and enjoying
them, but do not eat them. They are poisonous to
humans. Not very good for dogs either, but will usually
just make a dog sick.

HELL YES THEY ARE DEER AND SQURRELS LOVE THEM NOT TO MENTION CHIP MONKS AND WILD HOGS. MOST EVERY WILD ANIMAL EAT ACHORNS BUT YOU WILL NOT LIKE THEM THEY HAVE A BITTER TASTE TO THEM
